Introduction
|
| Sugar Technologists’ Association of India conducts Annual Conventions every year to discuss all the scientific and technical aspects of sugar industry. These proceedings are printed in book forms and made available to the Members. In the past 85 years of STAI’s existence 70 such conventions were held and to keep the library of such proceedings physically is increasingly becoming difficult year after year. This scientific information is very valuable and would form the foundation for future development of the sugar industry which is expanding in to energy and bio-ethanol industry.

Objective

| In order to make a comprehensive e-library of 85 years research data STAI has proposed to digitize all the scientific information on to its Website “staiproceedings.com”. The main aim is to properly upload the research results and data published in the papers and proceedings accessible to all.
STAI proceedings also would cover in future the seminars, workshops and other deliberations on the subjects related to sugar, power and alcohol.
